Corporate Social Responsibility
BAUN FOUNDATION – We understand the market. We know the people. We are willing to invest in them!
BAUN Foundation is dedicated to tackling the practical barriers to employability that stand in the way of youths in Africa. Our board meet annually to develop innovative solutions that goes beyond aid and leads people out of poverty.
Two ways we do this is by providing Professional Development and Training courses and Investing in Start-ups. In parallel, BAUN employees select worthwhile causes and raise funds directly through several regional Charity Organisations.
Professional Development and Training courses
As early as possible, we provide career advice, traineeship, apprenticeship and mentoring schemes that equip youths with life skills and bridges the gap between the theories learnt in the classroom and the real world. We work primarily with young people aged 10 to 27 from disadvantaged backgrounds or those at risk of underperformance. We work in partnership with parents, schools, local authorities and businesses.
POTENTIAL PARTNERS – Why partner with us? If you are looking to offer a work experience opportunity, apprenticeship or traineeship we offer packages to meet your business needs.
Benefits:
.
Work Experience: providing work experience opportunities for local students can help your business to raise its corporate social responsibility profile. It also helps you find future talent and develop the workforce of the future.
Apprenticeships and Traineeships: Training a young person via an apprenticeship and/or traineeship is not only an investment in time and effort but it enables you to support your local economy, see young talent in action and boost your reputation in the community.
Investing in Start-ups
Through a rigorous selection program, we provide loans to business start-ups with zero percent interest and a stipulated grace period on a case by case basis. Access to finance is a vicious cycle in Africa. Banks due to their risk appetite are unwilling to lend without charging high interests and to some extent has stifled creativity and business productivity.
